Total Vauxhall
"The Photo-shoot" May 10th 2004
On 25th June 2004 my Astra was Featured in Total Vauxhall Magazine, It is a twin Feature with my friend Olly Hewitt from Leicester who Also owns a similar Mk3 Astraturbo.
Olly travelled up from Leicester on Sunday afternoon, 1 day before the photoshoot, and after managing to kill around 3,000 flies with his front bumper on the 100 mile journey we spent the rest of the Afternoon car cleaning.
Once we were happy that our cars were clean we set off to PontyCruise, the local cops had blocked off the normal car park so we ended up at Freeport in Castleford, It was a great turnout and Olly was totally impressed with the quality cars that we get up here.
Matt Turner (features writer) and Richard Parsons (Photographer) from Total Vauxhall arrived at my house Monday morning and we decided to do the Photo shoot at Xscape Ski village in Castleford, The weather was great and so were the security at Xscape, they questioned us but then left us alone to do the photo's.
We did have to pause shooting for a construction guy who was supposed to be building a railway on the opposite side of the road but decided that he'd rather spend the morning bugging us until we took a picture of his Kawasaki ZX10R, we agreed to do him a polaroid and so he set off home and arrived back an hour later with his 4 week old bike that looked like it had 4 months worth of flies welded to it.
The moving shots were taken on Normanton Bypass and after these were done we headed back to xscape where we had a bite to eat before going home.
Below are Various Picture that I took myself whilst the professionals were at work.
